WE RECOGNISE THE NEED TO IMPROVE SAFETY BY DESIGN

At ZERO®, we recognise the need for change to improve the safety of those who carry out work in challenging environments. We believe that zero tolerance is essential to the fall protection and safety industry, simply because our lives depend on it.

For over 20 years, ZERO® has been at the forefront of height safety throughout Australasia. Our equipment is the result of extensive global research, innovation and design.

ZERO® Height Safety is 100% New Zealand owned & operated celebrating 20 years of market leadership in fall protection solutions.

The materials used to manufacture our products are largely made in the European Union: fabric, webbing, bias, rope-lines, thread, reinforcements.

ZERO® Height Safety is an environmentally conscious and responsible brand. To carry out this commitment, it is ZERO® Height Safety’s policy to strive to ensure that all aspects of the organisation have the least harmful effect on the environment by adopting and implementing environmentally sensitive practices in all of its operations. 

The responsibility for managing and maintaining the policy lies with the Managing Director with every team member committed to conservation and energy reduction.

For us here at ZERO®, giving back to our community is important. Volunteering allows our team to have a sense of fulfilment and contribution, we love supporting organisations that are doing great work and whose company values align with our own.

Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust - where everyone deserves the chance to live the best life they can. Currently, their services are in demand more than ever, and facilities and residential accommodation options are no longer fit for purpose. Service delivery is also scattered across the city. Their aim is to build one campus where all services are delivered from the same place and
where they can help more people affected by a traumatic brain injury, spinal or other complex injury or disability.

OUR HISTORY

  • 1999 - FIRST HARNESS

    It all started with a range of European fall arrest harnesses! We began selling Protecta PPE from France.

  • 2003 - DISTRIBUTOR OF PETZL

    Our product range expanded as we became the New Zealand distributor of PETZL PPE.

  • 2004 - OWN BRAND

    We launched our own brand of European fall arrest PPE into the market.

    Completed our first export order of own-brand PPE to Australia.

  • 2007 - DISTRIBUTOR OF SKYLOTEC

    Our product range expanded as we became the New Zealand distributor of Skylotech Fall Arrest PPE.

  • 2011 - ZERO BRAND LAUNCH

    After sourcing feedback from clients and distributors we created and then launched the ZERO® brand into the market.

    We supplied PPE equipment to the first responders following the major Christchurch earthquake in 2011.

    Our product range expanded once again as we became the NZ distributor of CAMP Safety PPE.

  • 2012 - HELMET AWARENESS

    We began raising awareness and educating the construction industry about the importance of head protection and promoting the need for improved safety helmets for better head protection to WorkSafe. 

  • 2014 - GROWTH MILESTONES

    ZERO® is now NZ's largest supplier of Height Safety, PPE & Fall Arrest Systems.

  • 2015 - EXPORT TO AFRICA

    We completed our first PPE export to Africa, ex Europe.

  • 2017 - DISTRIBUTION TO UK

    Began ZERO® distribution in the UK.

    Started collaboration with Koroyd to incorporate additional energy absorption into helmets.

    Showcased ZERO® at our first European trade exhibition; A+A Düsseldorf.

  • 2018 - EXPORT TO EUROPE

    First export order of ZERO® PPE to various parts of Europe.

  • 2019 - GROWTH IN EUROPE

    Opened a Sales Office in Zurich, Switzerland to service Europe.

    First major stand at A+A in Düsseldorf showcasing ZERO® helmets incorporating Koroyd.

  • 2020 - OPERATIONS EXPANSION

    Began operations for ZERO® in Rome and Italy.

  • 2021 - USA & TURKEY

    Started export of ZERO® to USA.

    ZERO® EU Srl company established in Italy for the European market.

    Supplied a large order for the first responders in Turkey.

  • 2022 - EXPANSION IN AUSTRALIA

    Established 3PL Warehousing & Dispatch QLD, Australia to reduce transit times and costs.

    First container load of PPE landed in Australia.
